This wine originates from the limestone-rich soils of our Cave Spring Vineyard, located on a terrace of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Lake Ontario, known as the Beamsville Bench.

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of mint cherry and black raspberry mingle with notes of mocha, cinnamon and wet stone; the mid-weight palate shows juicy berry fruit and firm tannins up front; these tannins soften in the middle, meshing with plush barrel nuances and carrying sweet, minty cassis fruit and spicy complexity long on to the finish (10/08)

Ageability:
Angular in its youth, this vintage will benefit from 2 to 3 years of bottle age, and should develop through 2011.
